The Life of Eskimo Clark in the Poker Scene

Eskimo Clark is one of the famous poker players in the world. Of course, it is because of his unique playing style but apart from that, it is also because of his looks that earned him the nickname "Eskimo."

The real name of Eskimo Clark is Paul Clark and he was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, not in Alaska. Prior to his poker career, he worked as a medic while he was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Just like other professional poker players, Eskimo Clark also seems to be mysterious because of the fact that we don't really know a lot about his life outside poker. What we know is that he is one of the world's top poker professionals because of his playing style.

Eskimo Clark can be described as a poker player who seemed not to fear anyone and anything. He does not fear whether his cards are good or bad and he does not fear whether his opponents are better than him or not. He just seems to always project a lot of confidence at the poker table and in most cases, he successfully intimidates his opponents. Thus, making him known as an extraordinary bluffer.

Between 1992 and 2002, Eskimo Clark earned three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets. The first one was when he joined a US$5,000 Seven Card Stud game in 1992 wherein he had the chance to take home US$122,000. The second one was when he joined a US$1,500 Razz game held in 1999 in which his prize winnings totaled to US$84,610. The latest WSOP bracelet he won was in a US$1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event held in 2002. His take home prize money was US$125,200.

In 2003, Eskimo Clark was very fortunate to win the US$1,500 No Limit Hold'em game featured at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic tournament that was held at the Bellagio. Aside from the US$160,095 prize money that he took home, Eskimo Clark was also successful in beating poker giants Huck Seed, Johnny Chan, Dave Ulliott, Chris Karagulleyan, and Erik Seidel. For him, it was the greatest reward of all.

Eskimo Clark was not visible during the first season of the World Poker Tour. It was already at the second season when he started to become visible and become recognized at the World Poker Tour. His most admirable play was when he joined a US$5,000 No Limit Hold'em game of the World Poker Challenge, placing second and earning US$310,403.

When he is not participating in the poker tournament circuit, he is most probably at the Bellagio participating in high stakes poker. And when he is not participating in any poker events, he is most probably playing baseball or is probably watching baseball matches.
